Baseball and Apple Pie

Enjoy Baseball Cookies in a Cooperstown tin and a delicious jar of Apple Pie Jam

Baseball Moms will love our newest gift combo "Baseball & Apple Pie"

Happy to announce our newest gift combo, Baseball & Apple Pie.

We hand pack our bite size “Bunt” baseball cookies in the Cooperstown/Doubleday Field stadium tin (licensed by the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum).

We’ve teamed up with our neighbors, the Fly Creek Cider Mill, an award-winning destination just minutes from Cooperstown and purveyor of specialty foods. Their Apple Pie jam is just like spreading an apple pie on your favorite muffins, toast, scones or BASEBALL COOKIES. Yum!

This “Baseball Mom Best Buy” makes a great hostess or birthday gift. Planning a trip to Cooperstown? Celebrate with Baseball & Apple Pie.

Baseball Season is BACK!

So happy to welcome back baseball. This spring has been busy here at the Cooperstown Cookie Company.  Our new Camden Yards Stadium tin has been a big hit with Orioles fans. This tin joins the popular Wrigley Field, Fenway Park, Vintage Yankee Stadium and Cooperstown/Doubleday Field tins.  Through April 10, we’re running a special, filling the stadium tins with bite-sized Bunts, and a peanut butter filled chocolate cap. What a great way to start of the season.

Last week, I was on the Syracuse, NY based WCNY Connected, where I got to chat about how the company started, our great tasting baseball cookies and the new baseball season. You can watch the clip.

And, our friends at the Food Network re-aired the Unwrapped feature on the Cooperstown Cookie Company. Every time this episode airs, we make new baseball cookie fans. I love it!  Catch it on YouTube, or see it when it airs again on April 8 at 11:30 pm ET/PT and April 9 at 2:30 am ET/PT.

Baseball and great food are two American favorites. They come together at
Boston’s Whole Foods Symphony, which is just steps away from Fenway Park.

I was at this Whole Foods recently, and had the pleasure of offering tastings
of baseball cookies from the Cooperstown Cookie Company. I met lots of
great people, including these two little Red Sox fans.

Whole Foods in four states now carry our Baseball Cookie Bunt Packs. The Red
Sox branded Baseball Cookie Bunt Packs are one of our biggest sellers.
People love the look, the grab ‘n go convenience, and the tasty baseball
cookies. Twenty-one Whole Foods in Massachusetts, including all three in Boston, carry our
baseball cookies.

I love to introduce people to our yummy baseball cookies. Online and phone orders are great of course, but there is something special when you get to see people’s reaction firsthand.

“Wow, these are great.” “My son/wife/father/daughter/dad/aunt would LOVE these.”  “The perfect gift for a Phillies/Yankees/Red Sox/your team here! fan.”

So, whether it’s the gigantic and wonderful NASTF Fancy Food Show, a Pride of New York show, a baseball gift show, or right here in Cooperstown,  the Cooperstown Cookie Company really enjoys meeting folks and telling them first hand about our baseball cookies. This weekend, I was at the first-ever Railroad Festival in Cooperstown, a beautiful sunny day. Our local paper, The Daily Star, snapped this photo. Thanks to Daily Star photographer Brit Worgan

Our new Triple Play Packs, available in your favorite MLB team

I’m grateful to the Freeman’s Journal for featuring our Triple Play Packs. Retailers, restaurants and teams have been calling, ordering up these fun display boxes. This looks to be a top seller for us in Baseball Season 2009.

Each pack includes three bite sized baseball cookies, which you may know we call “Bunts.” The MLB team packaging is a great way to show your team spirit while enjoying delicious shortbread baseball cookies.

Let us know when you’ve seen our displays around, at the ballpark, in stores, or wherever. Retailers who would like to carry our baseball cookie Triple Play displays can call 888/269-7315.

Cheers!

Cooperstown Ready to Welcome Rickey Henderson and Jim Rice

I spoke with reporter Denise Richardson yesterday about the selection of Rickey Henderson, MLB’s career leader in stolen bases and runs, and Jim Rice, the famed Boston Red Sox outfielder, as 2009 National Baseball Hall of Fame inductees.

I told her that their election is fabulous news for Cooperstown. They are very deserving players and their following will attract a lot of fans to Cooperstown.

For us at the Cooperstown Cookie Company, we are ready for the increased demand for our MLB-licensed baseball cookie gifts, especially products with Red Sox logos.

You can read Denise’s full article on the Daily Star site. Get more details on the newest Hall of Famers, and on travel packages for Induction Weekend on the Baseball Hall of Fame web site.

A great time was had by all Saturday at the World Series Gala at the National Baseball Hall of Fame here in Cooperstown. It was a special night, marking the fourth birthday of the Cooperstown Cookie Company.

The rain delay gave us more time to chat with attendees, and to offer samples of our Baseball Cookies. I always love the chance to chat with people and get their reaction to our baseball inspired treats. We also announced a very big partnership. New baseball gift towers will be very available soon, check here or on our web site. Let’s just say it’s an announcement of Major League proportions!
