I love to introduce people to our yummy baseball cookies. Online and phone orders are great of course, but there is something special when you get to see people’s reaction firsthand.

“Wow, these are great.” “My son/wife/father/daughter/dad/aunt would LOVE these.”  “The perfect gift for a Phillies/Yankees/Red Sox/your team here! fan.”

So, whether it’s the gigantic and wonderful NASTF Fancy Food Show, a Pride of New York show, a baseball gift show, or right here in Cooperstown,  the Cooperstown Cookie Company really enjoys meeting folks and telling them first hand about our baseball cookies. This weekend, I was at the first-ever Railroad Festival in Cooperstown, a beautiful sunny day. Our local paper, The Daily Star, snapped this photo. Thanks to Daily Star photographer Brit Worgan

Upstate Life Magazine Features Cooperstown Cookie Company

The Cooperstown Cookie Co. is a relative youngster — it will celebrate its fifth birthday in October. When it debuted during the eighth annual World Series Gala at the Hall of Fame in 2004, the startup company was not unlike a young baseball prospect beginning his career in the minor leagues. Grady told The Daily Star that her first goal was to succeed in the local market, but added, “We hope we can go beyond that.” After five years of hard work, the Cooperstown Cookie Co. has gotten the call that every minor leaguer dreams about, and now is playing with the big boys.

So how did this company find its way from Cooperstown to the Rachael Ray Show, the shelves of Whole Foods supermarkets, the pages of Town and Country magazine and alongside vendors such as Taco Bell and Bank of America at Major League Baseball’s FanFest 2008? Grady will tell you that a lot of it has to do with the product itself.

Christmas in Cooperstown

Christmas in Cooperstown

Christmas in Cooperstown, with baseball style

Saturday, December 13 is our village’s celebration, A Cooperstown Christmas. This annual event features musical performances, a Bed & Breakfast and Inn tour, great holiday shopping, and a  Living Nativity. Kids will love to visit Santa in his Victorian cottage, on the corner of Main Street and Pioneer Street.

We are looking forward to being a part of the National Baseball Hall of Fame’s Holiday Celebration on Saturday, December 13. At 4 pm, the Pathfinder Village Bell Choir will perform at the Hall. It’s a lovely way to mark this special season. The Hall of Fame is offering free admission that day when you bring a donation of two canned goods for local food banks. This popular event also features complimentary refreshments, including baseball cookies from the Cooperstown Cookie Company for all to enjoy!

PS As you stroll through Cooperstown, look for our yummy baseball cookies, packaged and ready for giving, at retailers along Main Street, including the National Baseball Hall of Fame gift shop. For a list of retailers who carry Cooperstown Cookie Company baseball cookies and gifts, visit Cooperstown Cookie Company.  You can also check out our gifts for baseball fans.

Cooperstown Cookie Wins Breakthrough Award

Hi Friends,

Just wanted to share that the Cooperstown Cookie Company has won the Breakthrough Award from the Otsego County Chamber.  “These awards celebrate the true backbone of upstate New York and the nation’s economy,” said Rob Robinson, President & CEO of The Otsego County Chamber. The award will be presented at the Small Business Banquet, Thursday, October 9, 2008 at the Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown.

“The Cooperstown Cookie Company is a true statement of what the free enterprise system is all about,” noted Jim Jordan of James Jordan Associates, Architects, the sponsor of the Breakthrough Award.

The Cooperstown Cookie Company is delighted to receive the Breakthrough Award. We’re approaching our fourth year in business, and it’s been a wild, wonderful ride. With hard work, flexibility and a great-tasting baseball cookie, the Cooperstown Cookie Company has gained customers nationwide and abroad,
terrific media coverage and great support from the baseball community.  Our baseball cookies and treats celebrate the region, and we’re glad to be a part of this great community.

Our baseball cookies are enjoyed nationwide, and it’s nice to know the Cooperstown Cookie Company can still earn kudos in our own backyard.  Thanks to the Otsego County Chamber for this special recognition.
