The world loves baseball!
It was just announced that tickets for Round 1 of the World Baseball Classic are now on sale. A quick look at the teams and venues show how baseball is loved, and played, around the world.
In March 2009:
- Teams from China, Chinese Taipei, Japan and Korea will play in Tokyo.
- Teams from Australia, Cuba, Mexico and South Africa will play in Mexico City.
- Teams from Italy, the United States, Canada and Venezuela will play in Toronto.
- Teams from the Dominican Republic, the Netherlands, Panama and Puerto Rico will play in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
I had the pleasure of being in Puerto Rico for the first World Baseball Classic, an incredible experience.
